Dance classes for children age 4 to 6 years in Leicester.
At TheatreWorks Performing Arts, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to build their dance skills.
We offer a comprehensive curriculum that includes ballet, tap, and modern dance alongside Primary classes in Musical Theatre, Strengthening and Acrobatics.
Our students have the opportunity to work towards accredited dance exams from Primary classes onwards, which can be a valuable addition to their dance education.

Our weekly, comprehensive timetable of Primary dance classes in Leicester are the perfect progression from our TinyTwirler dance classes but are also fully accessible to dancers joining us to begin their dancing journey with TheatreWorks.
On offer for this age group are weekly classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics and Strength, Stretch and Flexibility, and the opportunity to join our baby competition team in solos, duets, trios and groups. It is at this stage that we introduce formal, accredited examinations following the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus for ballet and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) for Modern and Tap dance. Our Musical Theatre classes offer our students the chance to sing their hearts out as we introduce them to singing and acting through song. Strength, Stretch & Flex introduces safe stretching and strengthening to help develop core strength and flexibility. Our acrobatic classes start to build strength for tricks such as cartwheels, bridges, splits, rolls and lots of other acrobatic skills.
The focus of these classes is to continue developing strong technical foundations that will follow them through the higher dance classes at TheatreWorks in a fun and nurturing environment that builds confidence whilst fostering a love of dance.

Our Primary Ballet, Tap and Modern Dance classes take place every Saturday 9am to 10.30 am with Primary Acrobatics following 10.30am to 11.00am.
