We provide a structured and supportive environment that is perfect for beginners and experienced dancers alike. Our ballet classes focus on technique and artistry, and we work closely with each student to ensure they are making progress and achieving their dance goals.

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)
Our weekly ballet classes follow the world renowned Royal Academy of Dance syllabus offering examinations from primary through to vocational level. Our excellent examination results are testament to the high quality of teaching provided at TheatreWorks.
Students progress through the grades as their skills, strength and technique improve. Ballet classes at TheatreWorks are delivered by our highly experienced and qualified teacher Hannah from our fully equip studios in central Leicester.
These classes ensure our students develop strong foundations and technical skills that are transferrable to all genres of dance whilst developing artistry and a greater understanding of their classical work.

TheatreWorks Student Gracie. Ballet Solo
All students that take classical ballet classes at TheatreWorks and show promising classical work are able to compete in the genre in solos, duets, trios and quartets.

Students who are part of our festival team can compete in our classical group pieces.
Whilst being part of our festival team is not compulsory, our students who are involved in our successful festival team build resilience, confidence and skills whilst developing essential team building skills.

Progressing Ballet Technique was created to support teachers and students to enhance classical ballet training.
Through carefully designed exercises Progressing Ballet Technique trains specific muscle groups to improve muscle memory and strength in the muscles required to support strong classical technique.

At TheatreWorks, PBT is integrated into our weekly ballet classes from grade one, with students training in PBT for at least twenty minutes per week. Students grade three and above take part in a stand alone one hour weekly class to fully support our students with their classical technique.
